Being able to drink in a pub an excellent beer from a your own mug, perhaps a souvenir of sacred place like a Belgian Abbey, Prague, Weihenstephan or Dublin doesn’t sound like something you can do every day.

But it’s possibile at the Birrificio Lambrate. More than thirty of our especially loyal customers, have left at the Birrificio in via Adelchi their own mugs ready for use at their next visit.

What is Weihenstephan?

As is well known, in Europe it was monasteries which first gave beer a certain legitimacy. The first brewery owned by monks was that of the Abbey of Weihenstephan, near Munich, in 724; it was here that hops were systematically cultivated for the first time. Today Weihenstephan is the home of one of the world’s most important beer universities.
