Try it with medium soft cheese spiced with celery-salt or with a dessert such a slice of fruit tart.

 

Colour is an attractive orange with apricot reflections, persistent and sticky head.

Nose is rich in malt and caramel notes with flowery (rose, violet, mallow) and fruity notes (bitter orange).

Taste is dominated by fruity notes (apricot, pineapple, banana) then it is possible to catch marzipan and toffee.

Finish is not far from a spiced ‘Wallonian blonde’ but a slightly accented bitter is also present.

Sant’Ambroeus

In Milanese dialect, the name of the patron saint of Milan. Sant’Ambrogio was born at Trier on the Moselle in Germany in 334, son of an imperial Roman functionary. He was made bishop of Milan on the 7th December 374 and died in 397 at a little over sixty years old. The 7th December is still a public holiday in Milan.
