Kuaska's review

Perfect with pork, I boldly suggest that it be sampled with chinese ‘chop-suey’.

Appearance is a pleasant orange tending to light ruby with a lovely sticky head.
Nose contains pleasant flowery notes (rose and violet) in the nose with light scent of butter and stronger notes of fresh caramel, light ginger and citrus fruit notes announcing their important presence in the mouth.
Taste is in effect at first a lovely tangerine (not dissimilar to Grand Marnier) followed soon by a syrupy citrus (particularly bitter orange and bergamot). As the temperature rises it is possible to catch lovely tastes of bitter almond, ginger, dates and chestnut honey.
Finish is soft and slightly bitter contrasting with sweet syrupy notes at the top of the tongue.

Why Lambrate?

An historic quarter of Milan, taking its name from its origins on the banks of the river Lambro, once a clean river rich in fish and river shrimp. Lambrate in its turn gave its name to the famous Lambretta scooter, manufactured in the area.
