Of course there are those who would like to set rules that aren’t always reliable but these are the recommended temperatures:

8-10°C pale beers
10-12°C dark beers

Some go more into detail and advise...

6-7°C ‘light’ beers and light American and Australian lagers
7-8°C Weissbiers and Belgian fruit beers
8-10°C light and dark lagers, Pilsner, Altbier and French Biére de Garde
10-12°C English and Irish Stout and almost all Belgian beers
12-15°C strong, alcoholic beers

...finding agreement isn’t easy!

In Italy beer is generally still served too cold; Americans are used to drinking it still colder; Brazilians like to drink their beer directly from the freezer.

In contrast we have the English who, in respect to our tastes, drink warm beer.
