| Odor, flavor, color, in short: tasting. Concentrated in a glass of beer are hundreds of odors and flavors. To examine this subject in detail we suggest listening to someone who has tasted our beers: Kuaska, the cultural director of the Unionbirrai. Curiosity In the past in England, in order to check the quality of a beer, an unusual method was used that is said to have been adopted by no less than Shakespeare’s father and consisted of the following: officials would unexpectedly enter taverns, put a pair of leather over-trousers and before sitting down would pour some beer over the bench where they were to sit. After an hour, when the time came to stand up, if the bench remained stuck to the leather trousers it would mean that the beer was good. |
